🤔 Taylor Express in Trouble?
Truck drivers working for Taylor Express, owned by R&R Family of Companies, say they were informed by dispatch that the company has shut down and that employees are now out of work. Credit to Mutha Trucker News.
At the same time, FreightWavesreports that R&R is facing increased scrutiny tied to carrier payment complaints, tightened credit terms, and the termination of a senior executive at one of its subsidiaries. FreightWaves also notes the company is in acquisition discussions with a buyer described as having “scale and capability.”
There has been no confirmed bankruptcy filing, but industry sources point to operational disruption across multiple R&R-affiliated entities, including R&R Express and RFX.
We’ll continue to watch for confirmations, filings, or further fallout.
Nick Shirley and an associate, named David, confronted a Somali-owned transportation company, identified in documents as Safari Transportation, at a location in Minneapolis.
The business receives state funds and operates out of the same address as a money wiring service, raising questions about registration and legitimacy, according to Shirley.
Video from the visit shows staff denying knowledge despite paperwork saying the location is supposed to be Safari Transportation.
Needless to say, the activity represents fraud not flagged by the State of Minnesota, according to Shirley and David.
The allegations remain unverified, and no response from state officials has been cited.

STG Logistics filed for Chapter 11 on January 12, 2026, entering a prearranged restructuring that cuts 91% of nearly $1 billion in debt while keeping intermodal, drayage, transload, and warehousing operations running.
The filing follows balance-sheet strain tied to STG’s 2022 acquisition of XPO’s North American intermodal business, which expanded the network just as freight demand turned lower.
STG expects to exit bankruptcy in about five months.

Stop attempted kidnappings in Washington
