Today, we sit down with Omer Ramusevic, Owner at My Staffing Partner, located in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
We met with Omer in October of last year in Serbia. Today, we catch up to learn more about his start in the industry, the growing outsourcing scene in Bosnia and Serbia, and much more.
Born in Bosnia, raised in the U.S., Omer grew up watching his father drive a truck for various companies throughout the years. But it wasn't until a friend's brother, an owner of a St. Louis trucking company, offered him a dispatch role that had recently opened up. Tired of working in retail, Omer took the leap. This entry point led him to gain valuable experience at C.H. Robinson, among other companies.
After a couple years, immersed in the American logistics scene, Omer realized he missed the European lifestyle and moved back to Bosnia. Opportunity soon knocked again when a former U.S. client called him and asked if he'd be interested in leading their Bosnian branch, recruiting and training people.
Intrigued by the challenge, Omer accepted the offer. His leadership caught the attention of a Sarajevo-based broker, asking to come on to a higher management role at his company. At the same time, Omer pursued private training, recruitment, and marketing ventures.
Omer recognized that his true calling lay in consulting – and launched his own business, My Staffing Partner, blending his expertise with a passion for developing people and processes.
